We turned this sandy slope backyard into a lush grassy retreat. A substantial Besser block retaining wall, polish-rendered, established two functional levels. Hardwood steps access to each level while complementing the side fencing. A hardwood batten fence along the back boundary created a cohesive look and preserved the view of the neighbouring bushland. Completed with 'Sir Walter' buffalo turf, this vibrant backyard is now ideal for year-round enjoyment.

This backyard began as a steep dirt hill with water run-off issues causing problems with the pool below. Concrete sleeper retaining walls were installed to create three terraced levels. Extensive drainage was implemented throughout, to redirect all water to the stormwater system. Steps and a pathway were built to allow access up the side of the house. Buffalo turf and tropical gardens were the finishing touches to create a luxurious retreat.

Improved access to a very steep backyard. Merbau steps and a boardwalk landing below was constructed, as well as a sandstone rock retaining wall, with drainage to complete the space.

A unique alfresco - recycled brick retaining wall that doubles as a seat; and outdoor tiles with an in-set stainless steel drain.

A poolside sitting area was created with travertine tiles laid in a French pattern. Heliconias planted along the fence created a striking contrast. 

Maximum utilization of this front yard - An exposed aggregate pathway, hardwood planter-box and feature fence extension, finished with turf and hardy tropical gardens.
